“Unleashing My Potential“ is a video essay where I reflected on my personal experiences with Sonic Unleashed and how it influenced me to pursue a career in the games industry. In this assignment for Behaviour & Motivation at Swinburne University, I used psychodynamic theories such as Embodiment, Sigmund Freud's Catharsis, and Jacque Lacan's Desire to explain my childhood obsession with the game and how it motivated me.

I am proud to have received a High Distinction grade for this assignment because it is very personal to me. Through uncovering these theories, I unexpectedly learned a lot about myself and gained more insight into my game design decisions and how I perceive games. This assignment allowed me to open up about my challenging childhood and how Sonic played a role in helping me overcome those difficult times. I put a lot of effort into this assignment, and it is clear in the video and analysis that I presented.
