Game Design Document
As the game director, I oversaw the Game Design Document, acting as a project guide throughout the project. I organised various aspects of the game, including gameplay, story, mechanics, and visuals into a clear and structured format that aligns with our vision and goals. I collaborated closely with artists, programmers, and my co-producer, Holly, to document all ideas and ensure everyone's input was represented. Additionally, I continually updated the document to reflect any changes in the game, ensuring it remained accurate and useful to keep it up to date.
Tutorial (Onboarding) Storyboards
Storyboards I wrote that help explain onboarding mechanics for the charge shot, double shot and the initial shot when you start
User Interface (UI) Concept Design
Various concept designs from designing the user interface, includes early sketches, refined designs and then iterating on colour within the game.
Burndown Chart
As the producer for Tankazooka, I created a burndown chart inspired by Richard Lemarchand's “The Playful Production Process” to track the team’s progress during each sprint. I monitored work against our timeline, addressing blockers and adjusting tasks when needed. The chart also helped to communicate progress to all members of the team visually and to show teachers. After each sprint, I would review the chart to assess our performance and refine our tasks for the next sprint, optimising tasks and applying insights to enhance future planning.
