“Destruction waits ahead, with or without your help.”
Tankazooka is a side-scrolling platformer where you command a broken tank with no tracks and must use your cannon to launch yourself across lush farmlands and desolated cityscapes to rejoin your convoy. I was honoured that Tankazooka was selected for the Student Showcase at SXSW Sydney 2023 and presented at PAX AUS 2023 with positive reviews and feedback!
The game is heavily inspired by Getting Over It and Jump King, and it offered me an opportunity to expand my knowledge in C# programming. I wanted to ensure that the user experience felt just right for players and that the mechanics were easy to understand while still feeling friendly to use.
